Welcome to Geneva eLab

Geneva eLab / GeL

GeL mainly offers services that use agile methods, such as the revisited design thinking process – presented above ⬆︎ (only visible from a computer) – intended to develop innovative solutions.

In a world that has become VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous), agile approaches allow the development of innovative products, services and production methods adapted to contemporary challenges.

To begin with, the services are available in French.

Face-to-face or virtual, local, or remote in order to reach far away regions, private or for general interest, perhaps taking into account the orientations of the 17 sustainable development goals.

In addition, GeL also offers support for project and awareness-raising actions including communications campaigns and the organization of events.

Innovate with design thinking

Agility is particularly deployed in specific workshops taking place in processes such as design thinking that are based on collective intelligence. One of its special features is to put the user / consumer at the center of the process/sprint. It is therefore a perfect method for creating products and services that best meet their wants and needs.

Thus, the workshops that bring together multidisciplinary teams from the ecosystem of a specific area benefit from the full potential of these moments of synergy that allow to put into perspective complex challenges and to imagine and develop all the ‘possible’ innovators which can be transformed into operational solutions.

Our set of design thinking sprint formats

Short / Sprint which lasts a few hours. Suitable for experimenting how this transversal approach leads to tangible ideas. Appropriate to draft an idea.

Small / Sprint which lasts 1 day. Suitable for launching a product, co-building a first version of a project or planning it while uniting your teams.

Strong / Sprint which lasts between 2 and 5 days, inspired by the format of the hackathon taking place over a weekend and the design sprint that takes place over the 5 day work week in a society. Suitable for finding solutions that can be directly developed in a project mode.

Slow / Sprint, a format suitable for responding to complex missions with sessions spread over a few months allowing in-depth work. This gives the opportunity to define criteria for success (operational, cultural, etc.) and to identify the various issues included at each stage (commercial, technical, legal, etc.). In addition, more room can be devoted to user feedback, leading to a fully user-centric approach, thus maximizing the chances of designing innovations that address complex challenges.

Switch to Agile Mode With Collective Intelligence

Agile culture is increasingly experienced on a daily basis by adopting various practices that reinforce this ability within its teams and its organization. It allows, by breaking silos and other changes, to work in a transversal way and to constantly adapt to our permanently changing world for which there is not the time anymore to consolidate ‘best practices’ to replicate them in various contexts. It also improves the working conditions of employees.

To practice agile daily activities adapted to the context and objectives is the opportunity to align the mission, the vision, the structure of the organization in general and its projects in particular, and to gradually infuse an agile culture in its environment. To support their teams, more and more leaders and managers are turning to agile approaches such as design thinking among other agile methods, which can catalyze the potential of collective intelligence.

To facilitate this process, GeL offers to study the situation which will determine the choice of methods to apply, developed from those that we have gathered in our toolkit. It is made up of a panel of acts for igniting, aligning, learning, anchoring, sharing, unlocking, re-spitting, challenging, brainstorming, exchanging, storytelling, sketching, mapping, drawing, visualizing, building, scaling, etc. which will maintain a collaborative and agile spirit on a daily basis.
